Letter writer David Telford is upset that a train points failure problem resulted in family member being told to get off train at Saltcoats, with no replacement bus service.
Dear sir,
My daughter-in-law was travelling alone on the 1.45pm train from Glasgow to Largs on June 13 when she was unceremoniously told she had to get off the train at Saltcoats. No apology, no explanation, no onward transportation - just told that the train was going no further as the result of an inconvenient, or perhaps very convenient, ‘points failure’.
I have written to ScotRail and asked them to please provide me by return with the full details of where, when and why this ‘points failure’ took place and why this particular service was disrupted in this disgraceful way with apparently not a single thought for the wellbeing of your passengers.
I look forward to hearing from them at the earliest.
