MEMBERS of a Men's Shed group in Largs have invited the public to pay them a visit to find out more about their work.
The Clyde Coast and Cumbrae Men's Shed meets twice a week in the town's Brisbane Centre.
The 'shed' was officially opened in March 2023, four months after the project was launched.
The group has also paid tribute to the local residents whose generous donation paved the way for their latest project.
A spokesperson said: "Thanks very much to Sandy Neillands and Shona Neillands for donating their old coffee table to the Shed.
"Thanks very much also to member, David Hardy, for making our new shed clock using the top of the coffee table."
"Our membership is very proud to see it hanging in the shed."
The idea of setting up a Men's Shed in the town dates back to 2021, and agreed a short-term let for the Brisbane Centre in November of the following year.
It's the local arm of a global movement set up to address isolation among older men and to give them a chance to put their manual skills to good use making, repairing and repurposing items.
The group's spokesperson continued: "We have an ever changing selection of items for sale in the shed, and we also make items to order and carry out various repairs. Please come along for a visit.
"We will be delighted to show you the items we make and show you around the Shed. We welcome enquiries for membership."
The Men's Shed is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays between 10am and 4pm.
Membership is open to all men living in the North Coast locality area of North Ayrshire Council.
