Largs took all the plaudits after coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Glenafton on Saturday - and deservedly so.
Thistle stay in 11th place in the league, and another win could see them draw level with Pollok and Hurlford depending on results elsewhere.
A few games in the league threw up surprises for me on Saturday.
Troon beating Beith and Gartcairn beating Clydebank were both coupon-busters with Beith really undoing the good work they did by beating Clydebank the previous week.
Another result which stuck out for me was Irvine Meadow beating Pollok. I was told by a few Medda fans that results would come for Ben Carson and his team, so have they turned the corner just in time for them to play Largs?
We will see this weekend. One contest that will be worth the entrance fee this week is Sewell v Sewell, George v Will. They might even be directly against each other. I don’t think brotherly love will be a factor here. Can’t wait.

I was at the Morton v Motherwell Scottish Cup tie on Friday night. What a buzz that was. There was a great crowd in at Cappielow, and Morton really deserved their win.
Their prize is a home tie at Cappielow against Hearts. It's sure to be another full house and another game to really look forward to.

On Saturday I went to see Greenock Juniors play West Park United - an entertaining game that finished in a 3-3 draw.
One player that stuck out for me was Largs boy Travis Stracey. It's the second time I have seen him play this season and both times he has played really well. I'm hearing that a few clubs in the top division are watching him.

You will have heard about the new 'blue card' being introduced on a trial basis. What’s the point of that?
Will it improve the game as a spectacle for the supporters? Will it bring in more supporters? Also will the blue card make it easier for referees?
I just can’t see it making the game better for supporters, and I don’t think it will make it easier for referees.
It’s bad enough at the moment for referees deciding if a offence is a yellow or red. Fling a blue into the mix and it’s just going to get worse.
