OLIVER Rose (Formerly Bushe and Beattie), peacefully after a short illness, left close friends and family with her sparkle intact, at Inverclyde Royal Hospital, 7th April 2016. Rose inspired and enthused us all and will be deeply missed by her family, countless friends, former colleagues, students and fellow creatives, not least the Largs Writers Group, with whom she immersed herself in her final years with her trademark passion, drive, humour and sense of mischief. She is survived by her sisters Elsie and Joan, brother Michael and her children Chris, Stephen, Claire and Robbie and grandchildren Frances, Lyle, Mae, Erin and Harper - many of whom, only a few weeks ago, joined in on what Rose described as ‘the best party I have ever been to’ for her 80th ‘That it was MY party just made it all the more special and an occasion I will always remember’. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday 27th April at 1.30pm in St. Columba’s Episcopal Church, followed by a woodland burial at 2.30pm Brisbane Glen Cemetery, thereafter a celebration with refreshments in St. Columba’s Church Hall. All family and friends are very welcome. Any flowers, cards, donations to St. Columba’s Church on the day please.
