FYFE Suddenly at home on 7th January 2017, Ishbel, beloved mother to Barbara and Douglas and mother-in-law to Shannan. Beloved wife of much missed Douglas (1978). A funeral service will take place on Thursday 19th January at 3pm in Greenock Crematorium. No flowers please, donations to Hansel Foundation.

Ishbel played an important role in my mothers (Rebecca Robson ) life, as cousins they knew each other from the time they were young girls. During the war they stayed together and their friendship and respect for each other blossomed and when my mum married It was Ishbel she chose as her maid of honour. As the years passed and lives changed their friendship continued, sharing their thoughts and sharing many, many fun times together. Ishbel was a good soul and cared deeply about others, she was sharp as a tack missing nothing and was not afraid to give her opinion when she felt it needed to be heard, I loved that about her!
I feel so very lucky to have known and loved her and will miss hearing her hearty laugh and reading her letters to myself and Jim.
The pictures are of her at my mums wedding, a visit from my mum to Largs, a visit to Canada 2 pics and Ishbel on the waverky on a day trip with myself and Jim.
