HENDERSON Peacefully on 12th December, Alan, beloved husband of Katie, loving father to Judith and Susan, grandpa to Jamie, Angus, James and Scott. Funeral Service at Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium at 2pm on Friday 20th December, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only. Retiral collection for Alzheimer Scotland. With thanks for exceptional care at Moorburn Manor.

Very sad to read of Alan's demise. I first met him at Largs Primary School when we were both 7 years young and have remained friends for 74 years even across the miles to Australia where I now live. We, and our gang, had great times in Largs as lads. I particularly remember us all meeting each Sunday morning at the Moorings to have a milk shake and go through the latest Goon Show. Alan was best man at my wedding in 1963 and although I did not live in Largs after that, I always visited the town on our many visits back to UK. Happy memories, Roger Barnard

Very sorry to read this.I have now lived in Warwick in the Midlands for over thirty years but have many happy memories of Largs.
