HILL Peacefully at home on 28th April 2023, George, beloved husband of Jan, much loved dad to Alan, Brian and the late Pamela, father in law to Julie, Lisa and Scott, a proud and loving grampa to Stephen, Joseph, Patrick, Martha, Dani, Kyle, Georgia and Lewis and great grandfather to Robaidh and Arlo. A Funeral Service will be held at the Clyde Coast Crematorium at 2pm on Thursday 18th May 2023 to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, to the Ayrshire Hospice.Tributes

A true gentleman and such a loyal and wonderful friend to my late father Hammy. No matter that they ended up living on opposite ends of the world to each other after my dad emigrated from Scotland to Southern Africa as they kept in contact by telephone and wrote letters to each other frequently for over 30 years. Every time my Dad went back to Scotland for a visit he would always visit George and Jan. After my Dad died I kept in contact with George as it was a connection to my dad that I could not let go of. My heart goes out to Jan and family. Best, Laura Snowdon.
