Largs Academy have become the first state school in Scotland to perform the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic 'Phantom of the Opera'.
Sell-out audiences at Barrfields Theatre have lavished high praise on the pupils who have received standing ovations each evening, and the musical spectacular ends its four day run on Wednesday evening.
Lead actor Ben Gilmartin, who plays the Phantom, has been receiving advice from David Ennis, a well known local magician and long term member of The Magic Circle, regarding some effects to add to the magic of the show and bring the Phantom to life. Lighting expert Jazz, from CPE Lighting, provided extraordinary effects to further enhance each scene.
And music principal Craig Smith said that this was one of the most demanding shows that he had ever worked on, but believes the hard work of the pupils has been rewarded with an excellent show.
