West Kilbride footballer Iain Wilson played in the Scotland team which defeated Brazil in the Toulon U20s tournament in France at the weekend.
It was the first time that Scotland had ever beaten Brazil in a competitive match.
The 18 year old, who plays for Kilmarnock, is a midfielder at Rugby Park and looks set to face the Auld Enemy as Scotland play England in the semi-finals on Thursday.
Iain has made 20 appearances for the first team at Kilmarnock, and featured in Scotland's 2-1 win over Indonesia at the Jules Ladoumegue Stadium in Vitrolles, on Tuesday. which sealed the semi-final place. The team is managed by Scott Gemmill, and assistant Peter Grant.
Scotland finished the group in second place behind the Czech Republic.
