The Scrubbers returned to the Largs stage for their biggest show yet - and what a scream.
Big Bev and Senga are well known to Largs audiences and have built up a strong following in recent years with shows in Millport, Glasgow and around the central belt.
When these two cleaning ladies take to the floor, the Scrubbers really 'clean up' as laughter is assured, and the largely female audience lapped it up last Friday.
More used to smaller surroundings, the comedic duo of Laura Edison and Natalie Sweeney showed their ambition by going for the full theatre treatment for one night only.
They pushed the boat out by taking over Barrfields Theatre with musical accompaniment, dancers, and a cast of comedy characters - many of whom were played by themselves!
The uproarious humour including the cleaning ladies take on The Greatest Showman to Brexit, Donald Trump, Boris and Theresa May, and even Love Island!
The real skills in the script are not just the gags which come at 100mph but the music as classic tunes from the Proclaimers '500 Miles' to Elton John's 'Crocodile Rock' are given the Scrubbers treatment with subtle lyric changes to hilarious effect.
Full marks to Natalie and Laura who have built up a solid partnership - and a myriad of costume changes in the two hour show to boot from neds to Love Island wannabees and then back to Bev and Senga for the fantastic finish.
Everyone seemed to take to the stage for the final singalong, while one of the classic scenes was when a young Bev and Senga arrived which made hearts melt - but the laughter never stopped.
Slimming clubs, dating agencies, and Alexa were all targets of the Scrubbers' piercing wit and humour, and with over 200 people dancing on stage and in the aisles at the end, there is little doubting that the Scrubbers moving up in the world was a considerable success.
Thanks went to musical director Siân Campbell, piper Allan Milligan. backing singers Anne McCarron , Abbie Ducat, and Daisy Wilson, and technical wizards David Gorry and Hugh Harris, Johann MacDougall, Lindsay Edison, and all the staff at Vikingar!
The accompanying cast were as follows: Wee Big Bev - Anya Milligan Wee Wee Senga - Nuala Cameron-Finn Senga's son/Wee Jimmy - Derren Milligan Magic Mick - Alan Milligan.
