Despite the inclement weather, the audience at St Columba's Parish Church enjoyed a wonderful repertoire of choral classics on Saturday evening.
The concert at St Columba's Parish Church in Largs featured Handel’s Zadok the Priest, Vivaldi Gloria, John Rutter’s Gaelic blessing and encore sanctus (german mass 2).
A highlight was organist David Hamilton playing an organ recital toccata (symphony 5) on the outstanding Father Willis organ.
The programme was introduced by popular minister Rev Dr Graham McWilliams and a very appropriate thank you speech by Lady Dorothy Belch.
The musical director Graham Taylor led the chorus with true professionalism having founded the City of Glasgow choral group in 1983. The choral group is one of the largest independent groups in the west of Scotland.
They have a policy of performing with soloist students of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
This was the first of St Columba experience concerts for 2020.
An outstanding concert enjoyed by all.
