Millport was the scene of a very unusual flight last week as a popular Scottish comedian took his virtual passengers on a fly-by tour of the island.
Brian Limond, better known to his fans as Limmy, is well-known across Scotland and further afield for his bizarre comedic style and television shows.
The comedian flew thousands of viewers to the island on the Microsoft Flight Simulator game, announcing his intention to land on the pier.
Despite warnings from some fans about the pier being only ten feet long, Limmy decided that it would ‘have to do’ and promptly crashed on the island.
His viewers were quick to show off their knowledge of the popular holiday destination, with one asking for his crash landing to spare the Ritz Café, so that survivors could get ice cream cones.
