A LARGS movie buff has become an internet hit after his stop motion version of blockbuster Back to the Future shot using Playmobil toys went viral.
Glenn Alcock, 41, works at Hunterston, made the fun video for son Aiden by replicating famous scenes from the movie using the tiny figures.
The film fan says he has been shocked by the reaction.
He said: "When I was a kid my favourite film was Back to the Future - I even remember having a skateboard and jumping on to the back of the Nardini's van pretending to be Marty McFly. "My son is only four years old and a few months ago I showed him the movie for the first time and he really enjoyed it. After buying the Back to the Future Playmobil set, there was an advent calendar produced with toys and figures from the film, and I thought it would be good to do a short film with some of the characters in a toy version re-make.
"The film has a really timeless appeal about it - I set up all the scenes and then edited it together and it comes it at around three minutes and 15 seconds."
"Back to the Future is a really great story with great characters and it was fun to bring it to life."
And a wave of interest in his effort, Glenn says he could be tempted to shoot a sequel.
He said: "I love Back to the Future 2 as it does everything that a sequel should, so you never know."
Glenn says he has loved the reaction to his video version after sharing it with family and friends.
He said: "Lots of people have commented upon how it has brought back memories. It was a bit of fun for Aiden and me during the holidays but I am very proud of how it has turned out."
Glenn works at Hunterston B for EDF Energy as an operations engineer in the control room as well as forging a career as a budding racing driver.
