Scottish singing star Sydney Devine has sadly passed away at the age of 81.
The Scots singer, who has been a popular performer at Barrfields Theatre in Largs over the years, had been in Ayr University Hospital for the past three weeks where he was battling chest problems.
However, the singer sadly passed away on Saturday morning.
The Tiny Bubbles star has been in the music business for decades and first appeared on television at the age of 13, and his career went on to span many albums and singles.
Sydney had been due to perform at the Country Music Festival in Millport in 2019 but had to withdraw due to ill health.
His last performance at Barrfields Theatre was three years ago when Sydney gave an energetic and highly entertaining 80 minutes singing performance belting out favourites like Crystal Chandelier, Ten Guitars, Nobody's Child and dozens more hits from the 60s to 80s period when he sold millions of records.
Such was the appreciation of the audience, they gave him a standing ovation and encores - with people travelling from England to see him in action.
