POLICE on Cumbrae are organising for the DVLA to visit the island to tackle the rise in untaxed vehicles.
The plan was announced at a recent meeting of the community council, where Constable Joy Hamilton explained an invite had been extended to the organisation.
Constable Hamilton said any vehicle untaxed will be clamped - and penalties will follow.
Officers are looking to send a message that untaxed vehicles will not be tolerated anywhere on the island.
