A LARGS racing driver is hitting top gear after making a great start to his 2021 season in Scottish Formula Ford.
Glenn Alcock, racing for the West College Motorsport Academy, has won points in the first four races of the new Scottish Motor Racing Club season, placing him fifth in the Scottish Formula Ford Championship.
Glenn, 42, said: “This is a great start as we compete in our first season of single seater racing. We have had a few challenges but everyone has given it their all.
"I would like to thank all the local sponsors, The Fish Works, Pearson of Largs, The Halliday Pharmacy, West Coast Motors, Dillon’s Garage, KAM Therapeutic Counselling and Cherished Reflections for their support, as well as the Largs Printing Company for organising the sponsor logos on the car.
"If it wasn’t for their help I wouldn’t be able to compete and I hope they’re enjoying seeing their businesses advertised on a Formula car.”
The next Scottish Formula Ford round is on August 8 at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife, tickets can be bought from www.knockhill.com, you can find out more at facebook.com/GlennAlcockRacing.
