THERE was an international flavour at Hutton Park Care Home in Largs as residents they celebrated Nutrition and Hydration Week in style.
The purpose was to bring people together to highlight and educate them on the value of food and drink around health and wellbeing in health and social care.
Staff decided to prepare some delicious cuisine from around the world during seven days of fun.
It kicked off with smoothie day on Monday, while on Tuesday the home provided residents with a taste of Spain as workers served up tapas and dips.
The following day pensioners were a part of the UK’s biggest virtual afternoon tea party and celebrated with a cuppa in the home's beautifully landscaped gardens.
There was a wonderful selection of flavoured cupcakes which were suggested by the residents, with lemon drizzle, chocolate orange sponges, decorated and orange fondant among the favourites.
Residents rounded of the week in style with Tex Mex food and a delicious array of fruit cocktails at a gala party finale.
A spokesperson said: "Thanks go to our chef, Russell McDonald, and our activities team for a fantastic week which was enjoyed by everyone."
