LARGS Lifeboat had to rescue a yacht with two people on board after it began taking on water on Saturday evening.
It was the first of a trio of emergency calls from the UK Coastguard on a busy evening.
The lifeboat first launched at 6.30pm to reports of a yacht aground at Inverkip.
As the tide was flooding out the vessel, it was decided that the safest option was to tow the boat to Kip Marina.
The lifeboat was called out again at 7.54pm to a report of a kayak with two persons on board in difficulty near Dunoon
At 9.45pm, a Bayliner motor boat got into difficulty off Largs and was found drifting towards the shore at Cumbrae.
As the crew were preparing to launch, the order to stand down was received as another arrived to assist.
