A man was taken to hospital following a crash between Largs and Greenock yesterday.
Police were called just before midday to the accident and the road was closed for several hours as the incident was cleared.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11:10am on Wednesday July 28, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving a BMW car on Inverkip Road, Greenock.
Emergency services attended and a 34 year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance. The vehicle was recovered and the road was later reopened."
