Some stunning footage of a pod of dolphins visiting Largs bay has been captured by Millport man Luigi Giorgetti.
The footage shows the dolphins riding the waves in front of a hydrofoil party who were amazed by their close encounter.
The dolphins were repeatedly witnessed between Largs and Skelmorlie during the recent period of mild weather.
While the area is popular with porposes, dolphins have been few and far between but clearly enjoyed their day trip on Saturday July 17 so much that they returned on Sunday, when this footage was filmed, and on Monday (see picture below by Ian Murdoch).
Last year, two bottlenose dolphins were spotted in Millport while a humpback whale visited Largs bay in 2016, with Orca also spotted at Wemyss Bay in recent years.
