Firefighters attend Ayrshire hill blaze
Firefighters have been called out to tackle blazes on Tarbert Hill in West Kilbride during recent weeks.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.32pm on Wednesday August 4 to reports of grass on fire near to Ardrossan Road, Seamill.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene and firefighters have re-inspected the area today where the ground continues to smoulder.
“Crews have now left but will continue to monitor the area."
