TWO ladies are joining forces to launch new workshops in West Kilbride.
Rene Johansen, who has opened up an art studio at the former bookmakers building in the Main Street, is teaming up with Lisa Dench, who is launching a new business Modes Design Works, which recycles furniture.
An open evening for both is taking place on July 1 from 6pm onwards at Studio Rene Johansen at 47 Main Street.
People can pop in and have a glass of wine while chatting about the project and the upcoming events.
There will be a chance to view some of Rene's artwork and see some of the furniture Lisa creates on the evening.
Rene, 35, said: "We want to foster a sense of creativity and we want the studio to be somewhere where people can come and explore and try out painting and drawing methods and let their creativity flow.
"Art can be very therapeutic and by trying things out in a new environment we hope to provide an encouraging community atmosphere."
