The woman behind the proposed Largs Dog Park says just a little more time is needed to turn the facility into a reality.
Laura Crumlish first mooted the idea last summer and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from local dog owners.
The 22-year-old, who has her own dog Harley, says finding a location has been tough but is remaining hopeful that a suitable site can be found in the coming months.
She said: “I know I have been rather quiet been dealing with a crazy puppy and brain storming other possible options for places for the dog park.
“In the next few weeks I will be going to speak to people about my ideas for Largs and showing them all I have done and how much support this would and is getting and that’s all thanks to you all.
“I continue to be forever grateful for all of your support and patience with me and although I hoped we’d have the park up and running by now, it’s hopefully just a little more time and we will find the perfect place for our fur pups to run crazy.”
The dog park plan has received the backing of West Scotland MSP Jamie Greene, who is widely known as a dog lover.
Several surveys have been undertaken by the pair as the look to find out what local dog owners want and need from a potential facility.
