A NEW outdoor cinema is coming to the area this summer - with a blockbuster movie kicking things off.
Kelburn Castle is hosting their first ever open-air summer film screenings with Mamma Mia on July 22.
General manager Dr Alison Burke said: "It doesn't get much better than a cast made of acting royalty, effortlessly making their way through Abba's extensive back catalogue of hits.
"And, even better, Kelburn will be kicking off the screening with an Abba-themed karaoke.
"So, get your tickets, dress up in your best Abba outfit, and perform your favourite Abba number, then relax and watch Mamma Mia all in the beautiful surroundings of Kelburn."
The arrival of the open air cinema in the country estate grounds is something new for the estate - and it is hoped that Abba fans will 'take a chance' on the new and exciting concept.
Dr Burke added: "There will be no seating plan in force, which means people may choose their own spot any time after gates open.
"Food and hot drinks will be available on the night.
"Everyone is welcome to bring along their own picnic and alcoholic beverages, but we do insist that any drinking is done responsibly."
Access to the venue will be from 5.45pm with karaoke starting at 6.45pm.
As it is an open air screening, people are advised to dress for the conditions, and to bring their own chairs if they wish on the evening. Kelburn are also showing Disney's Encanto on July 24.
