Release date confirmed for new Martin Compston thriller (Image: Newsquest)
Amazon has announced the release date for Greenock actor Martin Compston's latest thriller.
The Rig, which was shot in Edinburgh, will arrive on Amazon Prime on January 6 next year.
Compston will star alongside Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen, as well as actress Emily Hampshire, known for her work on Schitt's Creek.
The supernatural thriller, which sees the crew of an oil rig subject to mysterious events, was directed by John Strickland.
