One of the benefits of the pleasant spring weather is that skygazers have been able to get a clear view of a spectacular evening conjunction in the night sky.
Last night at dusk, it was possible to see the two brightest planets, Jupiter and Venus, meet in the western sky just after sunset.
And sky viewers were in for extra boost as they managed to get a glimpse of the crescent moon in between.
The picture shows the view looking above from West Kilbride Community Centre at 6pm.
Stargazers from around the world were able to see the rare phenomenon.
