Accommodation hosts on Cumbrae have come together to set up a new online group to help get to grips with changes to the rules on the licensing of short-term lets.
The Isle of Cumbrae Self Catering Hosts Group currently has 29 members, who will initially work together to navigate through the short term let licensing process.
The new rules have been introduced to provide more effective regulation of properties advertised for let through platforms such as the Airbnb website - amid concern from communities in some areas of Scotland that short-term property letting is having an adverse effect on local housing availability, or that some visitors are causing annoyance to neighbours.
Every member of the new Cumbrae group has confirmation to host from North Ayrshire Council or are currently going through the licensing process.
To join the group email IOCSCH@hotmail.com.
