In this week's delve into the archives, we head back to the 1990s.
Searching for the stars of the future at Inverclyde Sports Centre were coaches Gerald Farrell and the late Jan Collins.
Jan was an Ayrshire tennis star who lived until his 90s, and even participated in the over-85s tournament at Wimbledon!
Jan was later crowned king of the courts at SW19 in the over-85 category.
The evergreen OAP overcame his opponents with his 'killer serve' to lift the coveted title at the British Senior Championships - in the same year Andy Murray won Wimbledon to make it a Scottish double!
Brisbane Queen Lynn Clark and her entourage were all kitted out at their visit to the Largs RNLI for their trip on the lifeboat. It was one of a host of events the Brisbane Queen carried out during her time which also included visits to Kelburn Castle, Nardini's and Largs Museum, as well as a trip on the Waverley.
Skelmorlie kids showed off their best disco dancing movies and their fancy hats for a Dancerama event held in the community centre.
And it was Yabba-Dabba-Doo for local youngsters who dressed as the Flintstones in the Brisbane Queen parade.
Finally, Largs Scouts lined up for a group photo which took place outside St Columba's Parish Church.
