COMMUNITY groups in Largs, Fairlie and Cumbrae are being urged to make a bid for cash from a wind farm fund - as a 'final call' was issued for applications.
A total of £55,000 is available from the Kelburn Windfarm Trust - but the deadline to apply is just a few days away.
The trust has distributed some £500,000 to local good causes over the past decade.
Grants range from £500 to £10,000, and are considered for environmental, energy enhancing, educational and social sustainable projects in the Largs and Millport area.
Last year two cost of living schemes by the parish churches in Fairline and on Cumbrae were supported by cash from the RES company, which runs the wind turbines on the Kelburn estate.
Applications can be made at www.kelburnwindfarm.co.uk before the deadline of Tuesday, May 16.
