The Largs Community Garden has a special display erected to mark Armed Forces Day this weekend.
The community garden is based in Gogoside Street at the junction with Irvine Road, directly across from Homemount House, and is run by Largs Community Council, which provides a number of displays marking calender events during the year.
This particular display is poignant for one of the members of Largs Community Council who has a family member in the armed forces.
Community councillor Jamie Black told the News: "This is a picture of our community garden display, which is timed to mark Armed Force Day on June 24.
"We were asked to do something for this and were pleased to be able to do so to acknowledge and thank those who serve in our Armed Forces, making a commitment and sacrifice.
"This has special meaning for our secretary Linda, whose son serves in the Army."
Stagecoach Buses is also welcoming veterans and those who serve in the armed forces to use its buses for free this weekend. See here.
