Work has officially started on nearly £3 million of works to upgrade the sea wall on the north end of Largs Promenade.
The £2.95m project will see the replacement of the existing seawall along the northern seaward section of the promenade in Largs Bay, between Aubery Crescent and the RNLI slipway.
To facilitate the works, the promenade will be closed between the RNLI slip and Aubery Crescent until March 22 next year.
Diversion routes will be signposted for walkers heading to Aubery Park and the boating pond.
Restrictions on vehicles will also be in place during the same period, with no waiting or parking from July 10.
These pictures, taken by Ian Murdoch and posted to the Largs and Millport News Photo Club group on Facebook, show work starting in earnest on Monday.
