AN AWARD-WINNING distillery is visiting Largs this weekend to give out free samples of its Rock Rose Gin range.
The Dunnet Bay Distillery in Caithness was awarded Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year at the 2019 Scottish Gin Awards, and continues to be firm a firm favourite on the Scottish gin scene.
The Thurso-based business, run by Claire and Martin Murray has been in operation since 2015 and now has two stills, named Elizabeth and Margaret - the first after Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, who loved the area and stayed regularly at the nearby Castle of Mey, and the second after Claire's mum, Margaret Calder, the distillery's prdoduction supervisor.
Visit Geraldo's Gift Shop in Largs Main Street any time between 1-5pm on Saturday, July 22 to try out a selection of their gins.
