A Largs store has claimed its decision to reduce the price of Buckfast is an attempt to help residents through the cost-of-living crisis.
The Day Today store in Nelson Street has reduced the price of the drink to £6.99.
Buckfast Tonic Wine is a caffeinated alcoholic drink consisting of fortified wine with added caffeine, originally made by monks, now made under a licence granted by the monastery, and distributed by J. Chandler and Company in Great Britain.
A spokesperson for the store told the News: "It is not a limited supply.
"Buckfast is our fastest seller and because people are finding it hard with money at the moment, we will be doing different deals every week."
