The gigantic Celebrity Apex returned to the Clyde to wow onlookers earlier today (August 17).
The vessel was captured sailing between Cumbrae and Bute by Largs and Millport Weekly News Camera Club member Francesca Pearce.
The Edge-class cruise ship is operated by Celebrity Cruises Ltd and has a total of 14 passenger decks rising high above the water.
It measures over 1,000 feet in length, with a capacity for 3,400 passengers and 1,200 crew to run the ship.
Celebrity Apex is equipped with a 'Magic Carpet' - an orange cantilevered platform suspended along the starboard side of the ship that can move vertically between the top and bottom decks.
The platform is designed to facilitate more seamless tender service and also create more guest space when at sea.
More of the features unique to the company fleet includes the 'infinite veranda' balcony staterooms that integrate the balcony patios into the cabins' structure, a three-deck after-dining and performance venue called Eden, and even an outdoor garden on the top deck.
