Local business entrepreneur Lynsey Ewing has fulfilled her dream at last by opening The Pooch Pod in Largs - and has celebrated by launching a new promotional video.

The passionate Largs dog lover is leading the way by opening a new dog grooming and pet shop business in the town.

Lynsey, 42, is excited about her new shop opening in the former Ivory Mac premises in Brisbane Road, later this month - and it has had a full transformation, as can be seen from the video below.

The former school office lady, who attempted to open a doggy day care centre in Largs last year, says it is a case of one door closes but another opens, as she is looking forward to the business opportunity.

Lynsey, who is an experienced dog groomer, said: "I was still receiving so many calls looking for my dog grooming services, and thought, why not make it into a business opportunity, 

"I have not managed to find the perfect place for the doggy day care centre, so I thought, why not approach the owners of Ivory Macs, and look to open a dog grooming salon instead.

"It allows me to focus on having a pet shop area for dogs when you walk in, and then there is a door through to the back area where the dog grooming stations will be.

"It is interesting to focus on the retail side of things, and now I have the perfect opportunity."
