Police in Ayrshire are appealing for the help of the public to trace a 62-year-old man reported missing from Irvine.

Ian Wales was last seen around 5pm on Friday August 25 on Titchfield Street in Kilmarnock.

Ian is described as 6ft 2ins tall, slim build and with short sandy/white hair.

He was last seen wearing a black jumper, lumber jack style shirt (grey, white and red with a hood), grey tracksuit bottoms and all black trainers.

Sergeant Caroline Brennan said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Ian's welfare.

“Anyone who has seen him or has any information which may assist us in locating him is asked to get in touch with us via 101, quoting reference 2533 of 25 August."
