Next year's Largs Viking Festival will kick off on Saturday, August 31. 

Following on from the success of this year's event, the dates for the 2024 spectacular have already been announced. 

Organisers say the festival will run until Sunday, September 8, with the traditional fireworks, battle reenactment and torchlight parade set to return. 

A spokesperson said: "What a great success this year's festival was! 'Best by far' is what we're hearing.

"Thank you to everyone who came along and gave their support. Dates have been confirmed for next year.

"Any businesses wishing to sponsor us, please get in touch early for discussions."
