A FUNDRAISER has been launched for the Ardrossan and Largs Sea Cadets to refurbish their unit.
The JustGiving page was set up last month to raise money to cover the cost of the repairs inside and outside the building.
We previously told in August this year that cruel thieves ransacked the premises, stealing thousands of pounds of equipment.
The thieves broke into the compound the group uses to house its equipment and hold meetings, and nicked items including boat engines, war medals and even the contents of the tuck shop.

The group is also hoping to get its mini-bus back on the road as it is currently out of service.
It hopes to raise £2,500 to cover the cost of the repairs and is now appealing to the public to help.
The cadets have around 20 members, with most from the three towns area but others from West Kilbride and Largs.
They take part in activities including powerboating and rowing, and also go on visits to Royal Navy vessels stationed across Scotland.
