A fire alarm going off brought a premature end to a vaccinations centre at Largs Campus on Sunday afternoon, leaving those with an appointments for the remaining period, missing out on their jabs.
Lisa Davidson, assistant director of public health, explained the issue on October 8 meant the planned clinic had to close earlier than expected and said: "People who had appointments on Sunday and were affected by the early closure of the clinic, are being asked to attend a planned clinic at Largs Academy this weekend (Saturday, October 14) on a drop-in basis between the hours of 9am – 6pm.
"Please note that this drop-in is only for those with an original appointment on Sunday, October 8 at Largs Academy.
"Those citizens with a future appointment should attend their planned appointment."
