Talented West Kilbride photographer Peter Ribbeck captured this magnificent image of Portencross amid a stormy outlook..
Peter described it as 'Fury of the Sea at Portencross Pier'.
He said: "The high tide and a huge swell made for an exhilarating photoshoot!
"I felt quite uneasy standing at the end of Portencross pier, watching these big waves roll beneath my feet and crashing against the rocks on the shoreside.
"It was a great ending to a very wet and wild day."
