Budding young writers in North Ayrshire are being encouraged to enter into competition.
To celebrate Book Week Scotland, North Ayrshire Libraries are seeking young writing talent across the local authority.
Book Week Scotland is an annual celebration of books and reading that takes place across the country. This year the event is taking place between November 13 - 19.
Pupils between Primary 6 and S2 are asked to create their own literary masterpiece (from a short story, poem, graphic novel, comic or any style of writing they enjoy) in a subject or theme of their choice.
There will be a variety of winners and prizes from each age group so it is encouraged to let imaginations run wild.
To enter, pupils are asked to hand in their piece to their school or local library, but it is asked that their name, school and year group be added to their title of work.
Entries will be submitted from October 23 until November 21.
