A CHURCH in Largs is to hold a silent 'holy hour' giving people the chance to pray for peace in the Holy Land.
St Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Greenock Road will be welcoming people to pray between 7pm and 8pm tonight (Tuesday, October 17).
The event is described as a silent holy hour of adoration of the blessed sacrament.
It is part of a Day of Prayer, Fasting and Abstinence for Peace in the Holy Land in communion with the whole Catholic Church at the request of Pope Francis and the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
