A special fundraiser to provide a special memorial to a Largs community hero has been hailed a "great success".
More than £1,200 has been raised for the tribute to David Macdonald in Douglas Park following a coffee morning at the Dunn Memorial Hall.
The money will go towards an ornamental pergola to be placed within the park in memory of David, who passed away last year at the age of 77.
Around the pergola will be raised bed boxes planted with sensory plants which will be enjoyed by all, but in particular those with dementia or Alzheimer's.
A spokesperson for the Douglas Park Project team said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who baked, served, worked the kitchen, ran a stall, donated items, donated money, purchased items and supported the coffee morning.
"We are so grateful to everyone who was involved -from the organising to the 'executing' of the event it was a great success and enjoyed by many.
"We are delighted to announce that we raised the grand sum of £1,205.
"This means we have reached our target."
