The Largs to Cumbrae ferry has been suspended by CalMac this morning due to Storm Babet.
The service run by CalMac is not running due to high winds from the three-day Storm Babet, with a review regarding later sailings.
They have announced that there will be an attempted 12:15 sailing from Largs and 12:30 from Cumbrae.
They said: "Service will then operate on a sailing-by-sailing basis.
"All further sailings today are likely to be disrupted or cancelled due to weather conditions.
"Passengers wishing to travel on a day return are strongly advised against."
Although the 72-hour Storm Babet weather warning imposed for the whole of southern Scotland earlier this week has since been lifted, the Ayrshire coast is still being lashed by strong winds, with several other CalMac routes also suspended.
🔶AMBER #Largs #Cumbrae 20Oct Due to strong winds, this service is currently suspended. There will be an update for later sailings at approx. 12:00.

And the ferry service isn't the only mode of transport in the area suffering disruption: ScotRail has announced that due to a train fault at Paisley Gilmour Street, services between Wemyss Bay/Gourock and Glasgow Central are subject to cancellation.
Trains between Largs and Glasgow are unaffected.
