Remembrance services took place across Largs and neighbouring towns and villages at the weekend.
The Remembrance parade in Largs was led by Largs Boys Brigade Pipe Band at 10.30am to the War Memorial for a two minutes silence at 11am and included emergency services and local dignitaries.
The Boys' Brigade Pipe Band led the way to remember heroes past and present before an Act of Joint Worship took place in Largs Community Church.
Rev David Watson led the service at Largs War Memorial.
Emergency services including fire, police, coastguard and the Largs RNLI were all in attendance, while MP Patricia Gibson, Largs Community Council, Largs Community Resilience, Largs Thistle, Largs Scouts and other local groups all laid wreaths.
Thom Williamson carried out this role on behalf of Largs Community Resilience, and Jim Phillips and Andrew Adair of Largs Community Council were also present.
Various dignitaries were present including MP Patricia Gibson and Lady Hunter of Hunterston who laid wreathes, while our local councillors attended such events across the district. Largs Thistle striker Will Sewell laid the wreath for the Barrfields football club.
Pupils and teachers from Largs Academy, Largs Primary and St Mary's also paid their respects.
Services also took place in Fairlie, Millport, West Kilbride, Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay and Inverkip, with large numbers reported, as respectful gatherings paid their respects.
Provost Dickson told the News: “These services were a chance for our communities to come together and recognise sacrifices that have been made by those brave men and women in our armed forces, both past and present.”
Crew from RNLI Largs Lifeboat joined the Remembrance Ceremony at the Cenotaph in Largs and laid a wreath to remember the fallen.
