Barrfields Theatre in Largs is set to cater for children who may find some theatre noise a little overwhelming.
New 'sensory bags' are being introduced can be borrowed from our front of house team, with a £10 cash deposit, returnable upon return of the bag at the end of a show.
Some items are marked as single use and may be kept, and there are details inside the bags of what must be returned such as ear defenders.
The sensory bags include a pair of ear defenders to fit younger children and '"How I’m feeling” visual cards, as well as other accessories.
A spokesperson for Barrfields Theatre said: "We will first trial our bags at The Largs Players upcoming family panto Aladdie, next month, and hopefully these will be available at all future family audience shows.
"There are limited quantities of bags available at each performance, first come first served, and we hope that children who would otherwise find a theatre environment overly stimulating will enjoy the benefit of these bags.
"Thank you to Largs Youth Theatre who have sponsored our first order of bags and contents."
