A popular online musical spectacle - which was introduced during the pandemic - is returning this Christmas.
The Millport Musical Advent Calendar is the brainchild of islander Paul Hart.
Paul created the daily musical online interlude and has gained praise for his actions, so much so that even Ukranian refugees living on the island took past last year.
Each day until Christmas, individuals, community groups, schools and even Paul himself perform a festive jingle to boost the festive spirits.
His announcement that it is returning for this year has already gained lots of positive reaction.
Paul said: "It's almost that time of year again folks when we can launch the 2023 Millport Musical Advent Calendar.
"We have an abundance of talent on this little island of ours and also amongst people who visit or have a connection with us - musicians, poets, artists, singers, song writers, photographers, actors.
"They cover all the age ranges, all walks of life and over the last few years we have featured many on our calendar.
"So if you have lived here for years, are new to living in our community or just love visiting us or hearing about what we get up to, then this is your chance to feature on the Advent Calendar.
"We aim to post something every day from 1st to 25th December, and we need your help to do that. So please get in touch if you have something to share with us.
"And we would love any wintry or festive photographs you have of the island that we can feature on the daily films.
"We look forward to hearing from you all and let's make this year's calendar a festive, celebratory and peaceful beacon to the world."
