Largs RNLI fundraising branch were busy bees last Friday morning as their coffee morning event at the Clark Memorial Church Hall was a great success.
Their strong team of volunteers were hard at work and made sure that the morning was well attended with everybody well looked after with tea, coffee and cakes.
It was a lovely crisp sunny morning which helped bring friends and supporters out for a cuppa and a chat.
Over 100 local people and visitors attended and raised the magnificent sum of over £1,300.
The RNLI Fundraising Chair, Linn Munton, told the News that it was one of the best Coffee Mornings it had ever held.
Linn said: "Everything went swimmingly, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves." The committee would like to thank all those volunteers who helped with the organising before and on the day, who donated gifts, prizes, and money, and most importantly, all those who attended to support those being saved from difficulties in the sea.
Photographer Charlie Gilmour headed along to capture some of the atmosphere of the day which raised much needed funds for our lifeboat heroes.
