A pantomime in Largs that turns a classic fairytale on its head with a contemporary Scottish twist is proving to be a huge success.
Aladdie, the latest festive production by the Largs Players, is being performed at Barrfields Theatre until Saturday, December 9.
The story has all of the favourite characters from Aladdin, including the genie, the magic lamp and a flooring accessory with a tendency to take flight.
It even has some popular trends making brief appearances on stage including the Prime energy drink created by KSI and Logan Paul, Netflix's show Wednesday, and entertaining TikTok dances.
Writer and producer Laura Edison previously told the News: "It is a classic fairytale which we wanted to give a very Scottish twist to.
"We have moved everything to Scotland, but there is still a lamp and a genie and all the traditional much-loved elements.
"Although we are a coastal theatre, we always aim to push the boundaries on special effects and give the audience something they would expect which is as big as you would expect in the city and much cheaper.
"It still has all the usual toe tapping songs and we have given the lyrics of some of Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor's songs a local twist - as well as Olly Murs being given the full Largs Players treatment!"
