ROADWORKS on the A78 north of Largs have been postponed until the new year, roads bosses have announced.
Carriageway works have been taking place in recent weeks on the trunk road in both directions at Wemyss Bay.
The firm says additional overnight convoy works are still required before work can be completed - but that due to "site operational issues", these works will not take place until 2024.
This work forms part of a wider package of improvements for the area and, according to Amey, will benefit around 11,700 vehicles using the road each day by reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
